Do you know the reason why people snore? Well, this usually happens when they are obstructed or partially hindered inside the nasal passages. An important question that arises in this regard is, “when are obstructions caused? It occurs when the tissue swells inside the nose during cold or some kind of allergy. An individual might have structural change within the wall that separates the nostrils. Your tongue or throat muscles may be too sagging and thus, cut off supply of air to the lungs. Such actions usually take place due to deep nap, various sleeping pills, alcohol ingestion and ageing that will cause more relaxation to the throat muscles.
Snoring occurs when there is some kind of obstruction in the throat, you take a deep breath inside and push to get beyond the uvula and soft palate. This is exactly from where comes the snoring noise. If the obstruction allows less amount of air to navigate at one breath, then the pitch of noise may be high and you will not get much air within the lungs. This is why you should not take milk and cookies during bedtime to prevent gaining further weight.
Why are nasal strips made?
Nasal strips are made for the purpose to ease snoring and its noise. In reality, they are of great use for the ones who need nasal obstructions such as polyps, deviated septum, or stuffy nose due to allergies or cold. However, the blockage of polyps or deviated septum cannot be endured for a long time. As such, easy breathe nasal strips are particularly made to place them over the nose and pressed down to stick at the side of your nose. This will allow nasal tissue to flare out and create an open entrance into the airway.
What about habitual and occasional snorers?
The habitual snorers may have to pass through serious health problems and need to have other monitor to breathe for a night or two. The occasional snorers, on the other hand, may use nasal strips when they feel tired or have cold or allergies that lead to swelling tissues.
In case an individual cannot breathe for 10 seconds or more, it is obvious that the habitual snorer might be suffering from nose blockage. Consult the doctor immediately before it gets too late for checkup and medication.
High dose sleepers cannot keep the throat muscles stressed to allow their airway open. On the other hand, people who do not sleep for long can keep their tongue and throat muscles firm and allow airway to pass easily.
